EziGo Rentals offers comprehensive insurance coverage options to protect you during your rental period. All rentals include basic coverage, with optional upgrades available.
Coverage Details
What's Covered
- Collision damage to the rental vehicle
- Theft of the rental vehicle
- Third party property damage
- Third party bodily injury
- Roadside assistance and towing
- Replacement vehicle in case of breakdown (premium only)
What's Not Covered
The following are excluded from all coverage levels:
- Damage caused while driving under the influence
- Damage from unauthorized drivers
- Damage from prohibited uses (off-road, racing, etc.)
- Overhead or undercarriage damage from negligence
- Interior damage from smoking
- Damage caused intentionally
- Consequential loss (missed flights, accommodation, etc.)
- Personal belongings left in the vehicle
Making a Claim
To make an insurance claim:
- Contact police if required and obtain a police report
- Notify EziGo Rentals immediately (within 24 hours)
- Complete the incident report form
- Provide all relevant documentation and photos
- Do not admit fault or authorize repairs
- Cooperate with the insurance assessment process
Excess Payment
The excess (deductible) is the amount you're responsible for in the event of damage or theft. This amount will be charged to your credit card. If you're not at fault and third party details are provided, you may be eligible for an excess refund once liability is established.
Additional Notes
- Insurance coverage is void if terms of the rental agreement are violated
- Coverage applies only within permitted geographic areas
- Young driver surcharges may apply for drivers under 25
- Some vehicles may have different excess amounts
- Insurance upgrades can be added at pickup (subject to availability)
